A week in the life

I am a self-confessed Ali Edwards fan. This week she's embarking on documenting a week in her life. And again, I follow. The last time I did this was in 2008. You can see what I happened during that week here, here, and here. I have the album finished but I just never got around to uploading pictures.

I bought a pack of Kaisercraft mini albums from PIKA Prints Studio, our only local scrapbook store, a few months ago. The pack has been staring me in the face since then. I've also been saving those coffee cup jackets (whatever they're really called) for the past two weeks. I was shuffling through my mental rolodex of ideas and decided to combine the two to make a mini album for "A Week in the Life." I only have 5 of those jackets...I think I stopped at the Mobil gas station 3 times last week and 2 times this week. Never mind that I have a coffee maker at home. I digress. I decided to use the jackets for Sunday through Tuesday and Friday and Saturday. I used the kaisercraft album for the front and back covers as well as Wednesday and Thursday's pages.

Patterned paper, chipboard flower, thickers, and rub-on from Studio Calico's fortune cookie kit. All others from stash.

I turned some of those jackets inside out for variety and added eyelets for stability.

I made my journal card using a business card template in Pages on my MacBook. I was trying to make some in PSE 6.0, but that was hurting my brain so I stopped. I chose topics that I felt fit my lifestyle. And, just because I'm a little anal retentive, I'm starting today.

I made the notebook on the left from a Jessica Sprague class and never used it. It has finally come in handy. There's something positive to be said about being a pack rat.

Gasp! I scrapped during the week?!?!?

If there was detention for missing gym workouts, I surely ended up there this week. I went all but once! Sigh. Not a good thing when you've joined "The Biggest Loser" contest at work. I had to be careful with what I ate and still ended up losing 4 pounds! There went all the candy, chips and cookies. YAY!!! Not going to the gym meant I scrapped during the week. :) There lies the silver lining to the gray detention cloud. I did three layouts for the April THAW challenges at Willow Traders.

Challenge 4: sketch from Nuts about sketches
