It's the last day of the month...I feel like I've done more in the last 4 days than I have in the past month! On Wednesday I came home from work, headed to the gym and then the grocery store. I scored a parking spot so it wasn't super busy. Headed home to shower and then back out to the airport to get Auntie Margaret. Had dinner with her.
Up EARLY on Thursday morning to make the stuffing. We don't stuff the bird with the stuffing in our family! I make it so that the yucky stuff like raisins and celery don't sneak their way in. Uncle Jimmy called from Minnesota. Then Dominic called from Arizona. Went to church. Came home for a bit so Auntie Margaret could make the red rice. Caught up on email and message boards and missed a called from Auntie Anna in Hawaii.
We went to Mark's for lunch. TWO turkeys, TWO hams, TWO pans of stuffing, a pork roast, a pot roast, mashed potatoes, red rice, potato salad, mixed veggies, red velvet cake, pumpkin pie from Capricciosa, rum cake. We ate the last of the leftovers yesterday.
Went to my friend Christine's for dinner. I go there every year. I ate mussels. sweet corn and strawberry parfait. Everything else was IFFY... no clue if the sauces her mom used had MSG because all the bottles got thrown out before Christine could check. We played Guesstures and Dance dance revolution. When I was leaving, the Borjas waved me over to their house. We played Wii rock band, boxing and bowling.
Friday morning, I was awakened at 7:45am by a screaming Jacob. FUN. Not the best way to start the day. Lucas and Jacob spent the day with us... had some Maddie Gosselin moments there. Auntie Patty and the 4 big kids came to help eat the leftovers. Took Lucas with me to get my check and he fell asleep in the car. A 30 minute nap for him. I was SOOOO tired. He let me take a 30 min. nap. He totally watched me sleep! Then he needed to pee and then he was hungry. I should be thankful for those 30 minutes! He was picked up at 5pm. John tried to pawn sick JB off on me so he and Diana could go to a movie. NO THANKS!
*I* went to the movies by myself. Saw "Four Christmases". It was hilarious and sad at the same time.
Saturday was errand day. Another pan of stuffing to make for the church's fiesta celebration. Mass at at four so we had to get ready pretty early. Came home and picked up Maria and Lucas for Juliet's wedding. I fell asleep before 10pm!
Full week of work this week...sigh...

Another Sunday
I was going to title this post "Another Lazy Sunday". But it is far from lazy. I did get up at 8:30am which isn't late if you get to bed closer to 1am like I did. Sleep is 8 HOURS, no less but could be more. These days, I'm lucky to get 6. Stressed? Maybe. A little. I really should be doing mid-quarter progress reports. I did homeroom content areas and reading. Still have to do Language and Math, but all those grades aren't printed out, let alone entered into the computer. I'm hesitant to stick my flash drive into my laptop... all kinds of viruses going around at work and even with virus scan... it's just plain scary. As long as I get them out by Wednesday, I'll be okay. Not worried. I have too many other things to fill my mind.
The "stories in hand" class over at jessicasprague.com is coming to an end. I really haven't done much with it except print everything out and put it in a binder. I've perused the "sparks", written a few words here and there in my newly dusted off journal, but the nitty gritty will just have to wait. Maybe for that LONG LONG plane ride to Arizona in December. God knows I'll have more than enough time to think and write, especially coupled with those long layovers in Hawaii and LA that just got even longer with schedule changes. Anyhow, I digress... those sparks made me think of a recent layout I did of my grandma.
The Scrapping Spot has been doing the scrapping version of "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?". For the first round, I completed 9 out of 10 challenges. This layout of my grandma was challenge 1 of 5th grade...and the challenge was to journal 150 words, nothing less. Thank goodness for the word count feature of MS Word! We're on round 2 and have moved it up to 6th grade. I'm doing a 4th grade Math challenge that starts tomorrow (mainland time).
I was doing some scrapping kit club stalking last night and a little bit of blog hopping. I clicked on a link and then decided to go to sleep. This morning, I was perplexed at why I had the BASB blog on my one of my tabs. I probably picked it up from the Studio Calico forums. Anyhow, I look and see that SOMEONE looks familiar. Not one of those, I've seen her on line somewhere or in a magazine. I mean SHE REALLY LOOKS FAMILIAR, emphasis on the "FAMILI" part of the word. Click her pic which takes me to her blog. Keep clicking older posts and come across a picture of a house. Her grandma's house. The house RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO MINE. The house with the never ever seen YET tenant whom we think eats, sleeps, and does stuff IN THE DARK. Again, I digress. I found my cousin DIANA. Amazing, huh? I have a scrapping cousin! Too bad she lives in CA. *sniff sniff sniff*

Stories in Hand
I registered to take this class with Jessica Sprague weeks ago. It has nothing and everything to do with scrapbooking. I've downloaded and printed a ton of stuff that will go in a binder (ordered and on its way). In a nutshell, it contains a lot of questions made to "spark" memories. I can't wait to get to the "meat" of the class!

Saturday to do list
TO do....
1. pray the men drilling holes in my walls outside finish F.A.S.T. They're installing 2 aluminum typhoon shutters. Don't know why those 2 windows NEVER got them before. The other windows of the house have had them for years. I'm having flashbacks from last year's home renov.
2. pay lab bill. love ins. caps on annual physicals. $200 cap doesn't begin to cover a complete overhaul. i was just @ the lab yesterday paying another bill. what's up with sending out multiples? charge me all at one time for the SAME visit on the same bill, please. Gas may have decreased but it's still $3.59 a gallon.
3. go to ross and return the jacket i bought for my mom. one of my thousand aunts has one that fits my mom. so... back to ross the other jacket goes. my skin begins to crawl at that store. i only walk on the outer aisles. in between, especially the clothing aisles? forget it!
4. call about a hair cut for my mom. pray the lady isn't there because i don't feel like sitting in their uncomfortable chair today waiting for her.
5. get lunch in there somewhere. something fast=something totally bad for me. bring it on.
6. do another load of laundry (or two or 4...). didn't want my underwear flapping in the wind while the men were here assaulting my ears. See #1 if you are confused.
7. maybe do a run to kmart to get a playpen for auntie patty... i'll be on the road anyway and i can always find something else to buy.
8. maybe a nap? went to bed LATE...like passed midnight so getting up at 8am isn't sleeping in. There was a time in my life where i could be wide awake at 3am. Not anymore.
